Lots of things. Clausen and Davidson were the main drivers of our terrible offense. With those removed from the lineup, our offense instantly looks more capable. Plus a few other things that don't involve Cam Newton so I doubt you're interested in discussing.

I wasn't saying I prefer this but he was saying only a QB would make an impact and that's not true, our offense is already going to be better by subtraction. A lot of good teams are middle of the pack in terms of offense (Steelers, Falcons, Chiefs, Bucs, Ravens, etc) and it's not out of the realm of possibility that we make a giant leap forward just by not playing Clausen and getting rid of Davidson. If you improve the D line or secondary or WR position, the whole team will improve as well.

False. I think he's better than he showed last year is all and he's light years better than Clausen.

how is it a given Clausen starts at #1?? That's insane. That's exactly opposite of everything the entire organization has said since getting rid of Fox.

Not to mention even if we're going with a hypothetical "keep the roster the same" situation, why would Clausen suddenly leap frog Moore on the depth chart? Do you think he showed you that much last year? Meh...

The Panthers are going to be running virtually the same offense. Maybe the play calling will be a little bit better, but just like Fox, Rivera knows the Panthers have to run the ball to be successful. So unless Clausen gets a lot better, then there won't be a hell of a lot of difference.

I hope that the Panthers realize that Jimmy had his shot at starting and to prove he had something, and he fell way below the grade and needs to ride the bench for a long time..It's time to bring in Plan C(am) and bring some hope back to the franchise.
