huge mountain made out of an ant turd. pretty typical when it comes to newton, though. wouldn't expect anything less from the haters.

Exactly. Nevermind that half the players in the NFL - the good ones anyway - feel exactly the same way. Many have said so. I didn't see anything in that interview that wasn't 100% true.

Oh no, a stud football player has an ego! Stay far far away!

Unless somebody makes something up about him, it's valid discussion. If you don't think those things matter, debate it.

Some people find the off-field stuff extremely important. Others don't. Those are points of personal preference. Objectively speaking, the team has a history of shying away from guys with character concerns. Whether you agree with that approach or not, that's their way. Whether or not Newton's issues are sufficient to scare them off is unknown, so debate it.

For me, I don't even have to dig that far. I look at the team's situation and, in my judgment, drafting another rookie quarterback is a bad idea given that there's no one else the quality of Andrew Luck out there. Are there individual things I like and dislike about each of the prospects? Sure, but for me it doesn't really matter.

If our team situation were different, I'd probably be agreeable to considering two or three of them (though maybe not at number one).

But it's not, so I'm not.

off field issues are a mute thing now i believe bc two captains have been in trouble off the field. i think its just an excuse for some people not to look at the guy as a complete football player. (yes i realize he is not yet)

Forget his cheating.

Sounds more like a widespread problem then just one guy.

According to surveys in U.S. News and World Report:

80% of "high-achieving" high school students admit to cheating.

51% of high school students did not believe cheating was wrong.

95% of cheating high school students said that they had not been detected.

75% of college students admitted cheating, and 90% of college students didn't believe cheaters would be caught.

Almost 85% of college students said cheating was necessary to get ahead.
