The average person works about 8-10 hours a day. In 8-10 hours you should be able to say "Oh He wants $XX per year for X years? Okay." Gross is THAT important to this team. He isn't going to ask for money he doesn't deserve, so get it done.

Why doesn't everyone relax and not panic until 10 more days from now. That is what a deadline is for, right? there is nowhere in any rule book that you have to have a signed contract well before a deadline

I have always said that Hurney can only do what Hurney can do, he can't force a Player to sign a contract, and don't take what the agent says as gospel ever, they are going to say anything to give them the upper hand in the situation.

with that said don't expect something to happen till at least 3-4 days till deadline, for some reason in the NFL they love to make no progress till then in tough contract talks till the last possible second.

Gross is just turning the screws. This is a high-stakes poker game and he has all of the cards in his hand, knowing that the Panthers must franchise Peppers. He is in the wait and see mode until the Pep situation plays out.
