Nfl >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>nba

NFL, MLB, NHL, college basketball, college football >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NBA

only reason I watch NBA is because I'm a huge sports fan and can respect a good game. the fact is, unless you're a fan a certain handful of teams, the chances of you seeing your team win a championship are slim to none.

All personal opinions.... I do agree that NFL>than all in my opinion. Ratings and attendance said the NBA Finals did excellent last year, the ratings and attendance this season is continuing the rise. So a lot of people are watching... even setting some regualr season NBA ratings records.

But for me Some NBA Finals > than the superbowl….

The superbowl itself is a great event, but the games are not always great…. In a 7 game NBA series now you get great basketball play, adjustments, and star players stepping up.

And this year I am looking forward to the NBA Playoffs Way more than the NFL playoffs. Really I can not wait for the NBA playoffs this year…. Chicago, Miami, Boston, NYK, Orlando, LA, OKC, Dallas, and a little SA Spurs. 9 of the 16 teams I’m really really looking forward to watching.

Also its widely speculated that the Nuggets will try to deal Felton, any potential landing spots? I cringe also at the thought of him in LA

We'll take him back, as long as Nene is included haha.

Honestly though, Nugs are in a decent situation, I don't think they need to rebuild completely, with those picks, their already on-roster talent, they can put out a good team.

I'm not gonna sit here and trash the NBA in the basketball forum, so I'll just leave it at this... in the NFL, NHL, etc, every team has the chance to bring themselves out of mediocrity and contend for a title. ANY team that makes the playoffs has a chance to go all the way. the NBA will never be that way. there are no good "underdog" stories. the underdogs are not only facing teams stacked with super stars, they're also facing the most biased officiating in professional sports.

It's hard to be a fan of the league when our favorite team has virtually 0 chance of winning a title even if they make the playoffs. Stern would never allow Charlotte to go to the NBA finals.

I agree with most of this. The reason why you see "Cinderella" teams in the MLB and NFL is because it's more of a team sport. With the NBA you have 5 people on the court most of the time, get 3 all-stars and the rest "great players" that are taking a paycut, and it is completely unfair. Then yeah, the officiating, everyone knows the NBA is terrible when it comes to that. In the NFL and MLB it's smarter to spend your money on a handful of good/great guys instead of all of it on a super star (unless a QB in situations). This is the reason the Yankees don't win all the time, or Boston. They'll come up against a team made of of good/great guys (Marlins, Tampa Bay, when they won) etc. NFL is kind of the same.

NBA.... it's just not going to happen. And even though there was super teams in the past, it seems like teams always had at least one all-star that stuck with them. Guys like Reggie Miller, etc.

And how much of that is because the NBA plays a 7 game series whereas the NFL just has one superbowl?
