Yeah. They claim they have captured antimatter in a vacuum using magnetics. These guys are obviously way smarter than any of us, but I don't see how you know you have captured antimatter (if it in fact has no mass). I skipped antimatter theory in college so you'll have to excuse my ignorance.

Antimatter has the exact same mass as normal matter.

The difference is the "charge" of the anti-atoms.

Instead of Electrons (- charge) surrounding the nucleus, it is Positrons(+ charge).

Instead of Protons (+ charge) in the nucleus, it has Anti-Protons(- charge).

Both matter and anti-matter would have identical neutrons (no charge).

All of our theories say that if our universe were made up of Antimatter, gravity and chemistry would behave exactly the same.

So it does have mass.

I bet that was an old show.

The Hadron Collider is rather new and what was used to collect the antimatter.

off topic: IDK about you guys but I don't trust much of what I see on the History Channel anymore. They sensationalize too much, I think.

show is pretty recent. they rehash some episodes every year whenever they get new confirmed info. it's got 4 seasons on netflix streaming.
