Because not everyone believes Scouts Inc's word is fact written in stone. If he was only a small fraction less good at his position than Green or Peterson, then I'd say hell yea draft him. The video doesn't support this claim, though.

Scouts Inc has Gabbert graded at 96, which is only one point behind the top 5 prospects in the draft (all graded at 97) and McShay has him as the 5th best prospect overall (and the highest rated QB)... so if Gabbert is that good, why isn't he good enough to go # 1 overall?

Understood, but it is an interesting point of discussion because QB is the most important position... there's a limit to how much Green and Peterson can contribute based on the positions they play.

Agreed. That's why I wouldn't be too upset if we took Cam with our first pick. Don't want Gabbert though. Even his stupid little attempt to compare himself to Peyton joke annoyed me.

He has that Clausen babyface that makes it very tough to have a team rally around. No way in hell is he worth a #1 pick.

note: I'm not saying we should pick him, I really don't care if we get him, newton, locker, dalton whoever, but this "youngface" logic is silly.

That being said, this kid has a lot of upside, and if he's conditioned right, I really thik he can be a ood QB.

Still kinda iffy about him, but i'm iffy about every QB in this year's draft.
