He is a fuging idiot and anyone believing that is a fuging idiot. We take a QB with #1 then this team is the worst ran team in the NFL and we have much greater problems than QB.

name one.

it isn't DT, because the run D wasn't ranked dead last in the league.

it isn't the DE's, we weren't ranked dead last in sacks last year.

it isn't the secondary, sure we need another starting CB, but we already have 3 starters in place there.

it isn't the LBers, we have beason, anderson, and davis when he gets back, as well as great a great back up in connor.

it isn't the O-Line, when healthy, they are very good.

It's not the WR's, they showed promise last year. their biggest problem was no one could get them the ball consistently.

it isn't the RB's, we have 2 potential pro bowlers there.

it isn't the head coach, we let his ass walk to the second worst team in the league behind us.

do you think it's kicker because john kasay is older than dirt? think we should spend our first pick on that kid from nebraska?

sir, you have no idear what you are talking aboot. we have other needs sure, but none as glaring as the QB position.

LOL at the people in this thread that are saying IF the Panthers pick Newton they will never recover. Come on already. I am not saying Cam is the answer, I am leaving that up to the guys making the decision. I am hoping they are taking a serious look and if his head is on straight, etc they do pick him.... BUT what team have the people on this board been watching for the past several years?? I dont know but they one I have been watching has SUCKED at the QB position for awhile now and not being serious to address that will be the mistake not actually picking one.

So if the team with the worth QBs last season decide to pick a QB first, they are the worst run team? Please explain your logic there

This site has Weinke as the #3 worst QB ever. Clausen may be worse so i think he has a point

3. Chris Weinke - Only one of two quarterbacks at Florida State to have his jersey retired (can you name the other?), this guy set every passing record in the book at FSU. And that's where he should've stayed. Yes his name is pronounced "Winky" and that's all the draft personnel at the Carolina Panthers should've had to hear in 2001; but no, they went ahead and drafted him anyway because he was available in the 4th round. He quickly took the reins of the Panther offense and won his first NFL game ever. The problem was that in the NFL that year, there were 15 more games to play. The Panthers proceeded to play those games and lost all of them, finishing 1-15. Weinke became the first (and only) NFL QB to lose 15 games in a row. The team began looking for a new QB the very next year, which they found in Jake Delhomme. When Delhomme was injured for one game that year, Winky came in and pulled the game out, winning his second and last victory ever in the NFL. Career QB rating of 62.2, throwing nearly twice as many interception as touchdowns.

LOL, we still have fans who believe that a better coaching staff would have made Weinke a superstar.

FTR, it looks like the Raiders have recovered pretty well from the JaMarcus debacle. They may not be Super Bowl bound, but they're definitely better than us right now.
