Fwiw, one of the things I do like about Facebook is the ability to find old friends. I was in the Navy, and lost touch with several people that I was friends with while I served. Facebook made it easy to find and get back in touch with them. While I will not be going out and hitting any bars with them, its nice to see what they look like now, if they are married with children etc...

I actually like seeing friend requests from folks i haven't talk to in a long time. of course Im younger, and it hasn't been THAT long, but I like it nonetheless. Now some people I would prefer not to here from, and I ignore their friend requests.
