Two games yes but we are also going to take away 2 pre-season games so its not going to be that much worse on players considering starters usually play half of a pre-season game. Players are just whining because they want more money and in order for that to happen they need more regular season games.

the starters will always play more time in a regular season game than a preseason game. Even if the coaches will play starters in just the first quarter of those two games you've got them playing the whole two games you added to the regular season plus 2 quarters. That's 10 quarters compared to the 7 they play in the current format

Yea the fan in me loves the idea to have two more meaningful games but the human in me knows that these guys go through enough hell for 16 games a season (plus more if their team makes the playoffs). A story like this helps put into perspective the players stance on Goodell's 18 game suggestion......
