Anyone on here live in Kentucky?

when in Kentucky, does anybody really live?

The Louisville area has well over a million people. Lexington the city actualy has more people than Louisville city proper. Northern Kentucky is part of the Cincinnati area, and in fact is where the airport is located. Then you have five or six small cities sprinkled around like Paducah, Hopkinsville, Bowling Green, Frankfort and Ashland.

The rest of the state is comprised of beautiful country including natural parks (Mammoth Cave and the Land Between the Lakes). The people that everyone associate with Kentucky, the toothless shoeless hillbillies, are actually in the corner where the Appalachians are along the West Virginia border. The Louisville/Lexington/Covington triangle is like Charlotte/W. Salem/Asheville.

My only memory regarding Kentucky was that I drove through it while driving from Wheeling to Nashville. Just after crossing the state line south of Cincy, I saw a sign that said Big Bone Lick next exit. I was very tempted to stop and check it out. :)

Yeah. People who drive through it remember that and the "Florence, Y'all" water tower 20 miles south of Cincinnati.

My sister lives in Glasgow. Went there for work and loves it. Her work first took her to Pikeville...coal mining country in the Appalachia area you mentioned.. Those two areas are world's apart.

Sorry your mother's health is not good. Good luck with the new family business. Hope it works out for you.
