I googled Sam Bradford scouting reports, and this is the first one on the list...http://www.nfldraftdog.com/2010-nfl-draft/sam-bradford.html

Most of the passes in the Sooner playbook are out of the shotgun formation. That brings us to perhaps the biggest concern that GMs have about not only Bradford but almost all of the college spread formation quarterbacks—what about his footwork? The QB is under center for nearly all plays in the NFL.

He may have taken a few snaps from center, but the vast majority of the time, he was in shotgun, and he almost never threw the ball over 10-15yds, even with the Rams.

Doubt it, I'm an avid OU fan and watch EVERY televized game. He took snaps from under center, just like Landri Jones is now.

"Weaknesses:

Durability is a huge concern — Just average arm strength — Mechanics are not textbook and drops down to three-quarters at times — Will have to adjust to working from under center — Must learn to read defenses and go through progressions in a pro style offense"

"Mechanics: Delivery is slightly similar to that of Philip Rivers. It’s a little higher, but Bradford looks like he pushes the ball. It’s a three-quarters delivery that might get him in trouble at the next level. Played almost exclusively out of the shotgun and will have learn how to play from under center."

"Also for a player who runs out of the shotgun as much as he does, when he is asked to drop back, he shows excellent footwork."

Again, don't need scouts when I watched with my own eyes.

I guess we can all it off. Jack is the only one who has ever watched an OU game.

I watch film on QB's every year and he took the vast majority of snaps in the shotgun.

I also really like Bradford. My ONLY concern was him staying healthy. So I am not knocking Bradford.

The pro style QB's actually bust more often than spread QB's. That is because too much stock is put into what offense a player played in and not the skill set the player actually has.

I'll say it again. Matt Ryan is the only QB to come out in the last ten years that came from a TRUE pro style offense and has been successful.

For years, Panthers fans have been complaining about the coaching never being able to develop a QB, even though they have never had a QB with elite natural talent to work with. Well here is our chance to see what this new staff can do with the most physically talented QB we have ever seen. If better coaching really is the answer, then here is the perfect opportunity to prove that theory. They sure as hell can't make Jimmy 3 inches taller and about 40lbs heavier and magically give him elite arm strength or athletic ability, now can they?

Apparently it only made him cautious of other black QB's, because he was clearly putting plenty of stock into Bradford's scripted workout. Did you watch the video?

I did and it wasn't really like what we Dilfer said about Newton's workout. Hell, he even said some of it was things they already knew about him. However, context is important here; that was an arm post-surgery, so it was important to see that it had come so far. This wasn't a private workout, either, this was a pro-day.... and he STILL issued caution about it elsewhere, not just in the article I linked but on other talk shows etc, because it was just a workout. He just thought Bradford's film was that good.

Hell, if I recall, Mayock didn't even like Ryan's workout and said he would still be a good quarterback.

BTW, to people raising the spread question about how Bradford transitioned quick so so can any spread QB, go ahead and watch the video, where they deal with the whole "he spends a lot of time under center" for Bradford.

In the PFT interview with Rivera that concluded just a moment ago, Rivera said we will draft # 1 overall based on our biggest need and we will use the franchise tag.

QB is the biggest need. Cam is far and away the most talented QB in the draft imo. Should be an interesting draft for us.
