"Most Charlotte Fans Are Dumb"

Dumb? We have our share. Everyone does.

I think the more prevalent type in our fanbase - or maybe just on this board - are the ones who aren't necessarily dumb, but who think that just because they read draft sites or they can win on Madden it means they know something about how to run a real football team.

Professionals don't need advice from fans. No, they're not perfect, but armchair GMs who think they can do better are likely deluded.

Yes, they have the ability to make multiple suggestions without the reprocussions of being wrong. And by also saying, "we shoulda signed such and such..."

Fans tend to act like the team can just sign whomever they want.

There are 31 other teams out there competing for guys. Can you offer more money than other teams? Sure, but what if the guy isn't worth it? What if it prevents you from keeping one of your own? Or what if that guy you signed with that big free agent contract gets hurt or turns out to be a bust?

Just sign someone else, right? Yeah sure. It's that easy...on Madden :nonod:

Seriously, JR is guilty of getting too close to his veteran players and overpaying them, if anything. I guess a lot of people have already forgotten that the man cried when Minter and Delhomme had their goodbye PC's.

So JR cried when Jake was let go?? Where did you see this at, because the only person I saw cry at the press conference announcing his release was John Fox.

And if JR gets too close to his players, then whom exactly decided to dump all the vets we had last offseason? Marty? John?

I don't think so.

Well, that is only 4 years from Lastday.

look it up yungins

Loved that flick and I can't resist buying a black shirt with a grey stripe whenever I see one.

As for Jessica, I'd hit it. :D

I think that lameass "reporter" just wants to stir things up and try to make a name for himself.

Cromartie? Meh, but if we do go after and get him, i tink he would help more than hinder us.

If I were a mediocre sports writer, and I wanted to make a name for myself, I would say things like "but ____ fans are dumb". I would pick on one small market after another. It's easy make baseless and unverifiable statements and avoid a serious arguement. For example, Panther fans are intelligent.

oooooohhh yea he is accurate, but most are bandwagon fans, know about the team when they are doing good, don't know poo about the team when they are doing bad. Finding a physical fan to have a somewhat relevant conversation last year about the team was like trying to find a drop of water in the Sahara.

Not a fan of most other Panther fans. There are cool ones but just go to the stadium and you'll see. No one is really there to see the team they just want something to do, something to talk about. Maybe thats not what you mean when you say fan. I am not sure. I also agree with rodeo. A young fanbase, its to be expected and there are worse fans.
