I got it. Played a hour-hour and a half and it's pretty fun. It's definitely NOT CoD, it's different, it's not as "smooth" but not in a big way. The drones and vehicles aren't overpowered, you can take them out if you focus on them. Sniping seems possible but I was able to get away from snipers by using smart cover. I like how you "own" a side of the map and you don't have to worry about getting spawn killed over and over like in CoD or people spawning on you (did spawn into a airstrike once or twice though).

Didn't even get knifed yet, most of my battles seemed to be ranged, in AR distance mostly. Graphics aren't super great, they are at least as good as Bops though. I didn't experience lag, and it was nice not having your lobby end like in CoD, with dedicated servers it's really nice.

I think this game could get a good community going, I know the developers are in for the long haul, DLC's, etc. No one will buy DLC's if there are a lot of issues, so that's something to think about.

I haven't played BF2, but I heard this game is in the middle of CoD and BF2, so since I can tell you it is NOT CoD, those descriptions may be on point.

I just picked it up but I haven't played multiplayer yet. I usually like finishing the single player mode first. I might give multiplayer a shot sooner this time though because I want to see how it is.

So far the single player is pretty good. Game mechanics are solid and the story is unfolding in a believable way...albeit I could see the one twist I've encountered so far coming a mile away.

Played one match of multiplayer. Played groundwar and I gotta say I liked it. Maps seem pretty big. I'll have to play a lot more to give a more accurate appraisal. But early indications are good. I think the battlepoints system will take some getting used to.

I've got some labs to do, so i guess I'll have to try again later tonight.

Yeah battlepoints are pretty neat. I was worried at first cause drones are so easy to get but they can be taken out really easy and you can strafe around them faster then they can aim at you so not too bad. The vehicles seem pretty balanced so far.

I love the flying drone where you can manually mark people for your team, been rolling with that. Got my first chopper a game ago and its' not super easy like CoD, takes a while of saving points and it doesn't just mark targets, you have to see them from the chopper and shoot at em, not super easy.

Are you getting disconnected? I don't know what happened but after the one game I played earlier I got totally disconnected from everything including Xbox Live.

I expect some issues for the first week or so at least...I don't think I've ever played a game that didn't have some issues to start off with.

As for playing like Battlefield, I'm not sure what you're asking Kurb. If you're wondering if you have squads and squad spawning, then no.

Beat the Campaign. Way too short for my liking, but really fun and really hard.

Played one multiplayer match and it was pretty fun.

Tried for about 45 mins to get in a game with a couple of friends, could not get in a game.

I'm digging the way they have the perks set up. You start off with 4 points and you can allocate them however you want. Perks cost different amounts. For example 'tactical reload' (quicker reload speed) costs 1 point. 'Straight from the hip' costs 3 points...etc. So if you want to you can start off with 4 one point perks, or a three point perk and a one point perk, etc. At level 25 you get another point.

The best thing about this game is the Battlepoints system. There are no killstreaks. So the poo that happens in COD won't likely happen as much in this game...i.e. a guy camping in the room to get his killstreaks. You are pretty much enticed into helping your team out...doing things like taking objectives, etc.
