This is good, since I think the Titans will be the worst team in the league next year. If they take a QB this year in the top ten, they won't be taking Luck at #1 next year.

I think the same logic could apply for us as well. If we already had a free agent QB locked up by the draft, we wouldn't be in such a position of need. But given we have said we are going to upgrade the Qb position and no free agent will be signed, we will likely have to look to the draft as well.

scott wright at draftcountdown has them picking up gabbert at #10. very likely. i still think thats too high, but they will be going for a "safe" (read boring, but stable game manager type) option in the draft. that is gabbert pretty much in a nutshell. they could probably roll with collins for a year longer while gabbert figures things out (though gabbert needs more than one year on the sidelines).

only team i see picking gabbert before #10 is 'zona who is just deperate enough to reach for someone like gabbert.
