AKPantherfan, who, by all accounts, has to be one of the 5 dumbest human beings I've encountered inside or outside of the world wide web could go into those meetings as the owners' rep and do what Jerry is doing. The owners have all the power, they know this, and they are more than okay sitting on their hands until the players start infighting and take what they're given.

Jerry may be a great businessman, but doing what he's doing isn't very difficult.

You don't get it. It's just the tip of the iceburg. Richardson doesn't care about the players or the fans and all his words and actions indicate that. It's just sad that so many fans are blindly supporting an owner who wants to draw pie charts and talk about "rebanues" instead correcting the that fact he's putting out a piss poor product and charging top dollar for it.

The point is very simple. I don't give a rats arse about his financial situation. If you can't afford an NFL team, then sale it! Don't complain to me about it though....I'm just the one of the fans footing the bill for your sorry product.

If you were to add up all the money a Panther fan such as myself has invested into the team, it's an enormous % of an average fans salary. I've flown to playoff games, superbowl, traveled 1000s of miles to see away games and currently travel 1000s of miles to see home games.

Dan Snyder's a successful entrepreneur. doesn't mean he can get the Redskins to win. Same goes for Jerry Richardson and the Panthers. Also just because the franchise is making money doesn't mean you're winning. Two different things completely. The Texans can't make the playoffs but still find ways to make up for lack of prestige and rank high in team value lists. It's actually not that hard to be an owner once your franchise is up and running, especially when you have lawyers, accountants, and a whole bunch of other consultants and weigh inputs to make decisions for a business that just makes and makes money

If you honestly think a lockout in 2011 is in the best interest of the NFL as a whole your personal relationship with JR has clouded your ability to think rationally.
