Who is the BPA of the draft?

What I find amusing is the people saying we wont draft Green bc we drafted three receivers last year but not seem to mind that we drafted two QBs last year. I think this situation comes down to petersen, green, fairley, or newton. Here's how I break it down...

Petersen, extremely talented and pro ready but corners are so hard to judge coming out of college, otherwise revis wouldn't have gone at 24 or whatever he did. Plus there are other corners who are also talented in the first that we could trade back and get.

Fairley is another guy who can dominate at times but it's hard to fall in love with a guy who did it one year during college and had it not been for the impressive bowl game we wouldn't really be talking about him.

Newton is an intriguing prospect and has the potential to be great, and honestly I am beginning to feel like he could be the guy or at the very least be trade bait. But in the grand scheme of things this QB class is very weak and we all know the saying of it's like being the smartest kid in a class of...well I will stop there.

And that leaves Green who is basically a Calvin Johnson/Andre Johnson type player. Those don't come along too often in drafts. And he is far and away the best receiver in the draft. He also could make an impact right away with his abilities.

Another thing to think about is that with the number one pick BPA is out the window bc essentially they are ALL available. The thing you have to figure out is who is the guy that you won't look back in five years and say "what were we thinking?" And as much as I like Newton, I think that guy has to be Green.
