Radiohead New Album

I wouldn't compare Maroon 5 to Radiohead... in fact I think Thom Yorke would probably be offended to hear that. Radiohead is certainly a pioneer in rock music and to many different artists, but they have tutored many better bands than maroon 5... as my favorite Thom Yorke quote of all time would indicate "They wouldn't let us play at the Grammy awards because they said we weren't good for the ratings. We were so happy man."

Win Butler of Arcade Fire is a HUGE fan of Thom Yorke and let me just say... Arcade Fire OWNS everybody else that was invited to the Grammy's. All you guys crying that Eminem, Lady Antebullcrap, Katie Perry, Lady Gaga, and all those other clowns didn't win STFU. (I am now venting on things that make me angry...). First, you probably don''t even know how the Grammy's are voted for. The people that vote have to have their Majors degree or better in music arts. Also, they SHOULD be talented, such as Arcade Fire, who actually writes there own music and plays instruments (unlike EVERYBODY else at the Grammy's). Arcade Fire is a pioneer for American Indie music and the fact that so many people gave them crap for winning just shows how far behind America is in musical taste. Its one thing if you don't like Arcade Fire, but if you don't appreciate them then you know nothing about music at all. I hate Eminem, but I respect the fact he is talented at what he does. That being said, Arcade Fire deserved to when. Until Eminem starts composing his own beats, he shouldn't be considered for such an award.

Anyways, Radiohead is kinda the all time great at true artistic music. Many can't appreciate it because they are not musicians. Those that are, realize Thom Yorke is a mastermind. Radiohead = real music.

ummm not to be a D-bag, but this was not 'just announced.' They announced this release about 2 months ago... and I can't freaking wait!

Oh, really? Must have missed it. I only noticed it in media sources this week and they all stated the album was announced on Valentines day. Not that I trust most media sources, mind you.

Still, 2 months between announcing a release and the release is pretty quick.

Album is pretty much a logical offshoot of In Rainbows. Loving the tracks "Codex" and "Give Up the Ghost" so far. "Feral" might win me over after a few more listens though.

Well, they might have announced the official date on Vday, but a February release has been known for a few months now anyway.

And yeah, I love "Give Up the Ghost" and "Feral"... currently my two favs.
