As one of the two authors of the article, I thank you.
one thing i don't remember seeing discussed but that i have been impressed by is his ability to sell the fake. thats another one of his underrated aspects, but still...by far this is the best read on him i have seen anywhere.

sorry about posting this link. didn't know it was already in another thread as i rarely wade through long threads.

i thought it was a great article with some great video. ck did a good job of telling the facts as he knows them.

there were some character issues but he was a freshman in college and i for one would be lying if i said i didn't make more than a fair share of mistakes my first year or two in college. certainly i got a traffic ticket or two and tried to short-cut through a couple of classes. being broke, i mighta took something for nothing somewhere in there. i learned the hard way quickly, that you don't gamble and it pays to be honest.

if he's stayed outa trouble since then i think there's a good chance he's wanting to not screw up again. it's probably a good thing that he learned some hard lessons early before he became a gazillionaire.

what i found in this article was a supremely talented young man that wants to not only be great but to win. he didn't just work out by himself but he got other players on the team to work out with him (which says a lot to me about him being liked and a leader).

i really love the way he seems to enjoy himself on the football field and loves laying a hit on someone. at least in the clips, if he screwed up, he took responsibility for it but without it seeming to sink him. if his receiver screwed up, he never pointed them out or got visibly upset. seems like he knows he needs them even if they ain't the greatest and he does his best to make it easy on them.

i also like the way he seemed respectful of the refs.

toooooo many guys (weinke, clausen) make football seem like a terrible JOB. yes you have to put in work but it should be work that you love to do and can't wait to get out and do again the next day. and if you can get teammates to enjoy putting in the extra work with you ... then you are a true leader.

i think players will love having him on the team and be willing to let him lead. will they test him? sure, but he seems like he's gonna be fine. i'd certainly rather play for him than i would a sour puss.

again great article. thank-you.

if you're still around, how will he fit in a coryell offense?
