Smitty to pats?

meh...i don't care what he or any other former panther does on any team. once a guy is gone, he's gone and not at all important unless he's on my fantasy team.

for all i care he could drop off the face of the planet quicker than joey galloway. i'm a fan if he's here, but if he's gone he's irrelevant.

no chance Smitty gets us a 2nd rounder. this isn't Madden, we'd be VERY lucky to get a 3rd rounder. realistically we'd get a 4th rounder.

with that said, the thought of Brady to Smith scares me. we'd basically be trading them a trip to the super bowl.

I still think we should keep him though, unless he starts openly demanding a trade. The return just isn't worth it.

Do it matter its not like they will be facing us in the superbowl..

So practically trade Steve Smith for Armanti Edwards? BRILLIANT!

Not

The Amrnati Edwards pick is a moot point...a sunk cost if you may.

You have to look at a possible Smith for a 2nd round pick separately. I love Smith's fire and playmaking ability. However, getting a 2nd round pick for an aging WR would be great compensation....not to mention that with the youth movement we are in, it is no given that Smitty woudl re-sign after 2012.

Depending on whether he is set on being dealt, the top 2nd round pick would be a steal for us.
