I'm with you.

What would you be risking? Job? Money? relationships?

Not so much my relationships because I wouldn't be away all the time and she'd support me 100% but my job and money. I have a great job now that I like but it is not my dream, it's just something steady that pays bills.

If you're pretty young, have no kids and your fiance is cool with it then I'd go for it.

No kids, fairly young, and she is cool with it. I'm leaning towards doing it but I'm trying to hedge by getting my company to work out some other work schedule for me which would be ideal.

I'd go for it unless you are a guy who must have security and wont be happy with out it.

I'm with Cat....go for it! What's the worst that an happen...it takes some time, it doesn't work out...you'll land on your feet I'm sure! Better to live on the edge and take a chance at extreme happiness then live your life thinking of what could have been! Besides, a little struggle sometimes isn't always such a bad thing and I promise you, it will show you really quick what kind of relationship you and your fiance have too!

between following one of your dreams and playing it safe?

Taking a chance at everything you've wanted and worked for or keeping everything you have now?

One shot at greatness vs looking back and wondering what could have been?

Taking that shot has a high chance of failure and you have to leave everything you have behind, steady job, my fiance (travel), friends, etc or you can keep what you're doing now and always wonder?

I know it seems easy to say take that shot but what would you do? Would you go after it?

Thanks

I did it. ask me in a year if it worked out

Really depends what is most important to you.

If you can pursue your dream while keeping what is most important to you, you should do it.

If you ultimately have to give up everything else that you love about your life in order to pursue your dream, then you have to decide if fulfilling your dream would make you happier than any of those things possibly could.

Ultimately it actually sounds like you can keep your fiance, and though it won't be easy, you can make it work. It sounds like you are already leading towards giving it a go. I would say do it :)
