Something I've Noticed on the Road

Here's a visual: My buddy got a cigarette flicked through his window at a red light because we had burned the other driver at the light before.

Ah, I love the break check. Used it 3 times this morning on a little red headed bitch on 85 south thinking she could weave in and out of traffic doing 20mph faster than everyone else.

I usually will try and nudge and have my signal on to see if they will move forward for me, because I try and do that for people. I feel bad if Im in your way of turning right, and its not like its going out of my way to move up so you can fit through.

Yeah, I always do that as well. Nudge to try to get that little non-verbal "MOVE JACKASS!" and I always pull way up to allow right turn folks through.

I dont brake check, i shift down a gear. No brake lights to warn them that way. Probably gonna get rear ended one of these days doing it, though.

I drive an automatic now, but I used that tactic when I had a WRX. Actually with the STI, it was better to slow down then blow them off the road

I'm not an appointed traffic cop, but if you are going to ride someones ass, you should be aware they may not like it

The roads are for getting places, not junior traffic cop training. I encounter people doing 10-15mph BELOW the speed limit all the time. I usually need to be somewhere, like yesterday trying to get to the hospital to see my dad who had a heart attack. Or when my son is cranky in the car and we're trying to get home.

I'm not trying to be fast and furious I just wanna get where I need to as quickly as possible.

Just because you have nowhere to be and want to do 35 in a 45 shouldn't be my problem, but it is every day.

I thought that was the point.

If someone is riding your ass that's when you take a look at what you're doing.

I've seen it before, I'll be on the highway doing 75 in a 65 and there's always some dude doing 90 coming up behind me quickly.

Is this when I should brake check and "teach him a lesson". I think not, I just move over and let him be.

When you decide that it's your business to regulate their speed is when you are in the wrong.
