Yasinskas suggests Gabbert at #1

Honestly, I won't shed any tears if the Panthers draft Gabbert, but everybody should know that he has the same exact question marks about reading defenses. Pretty much the only thing he has on Cam, is more Div. 1 experience, and his release may be a hair quicker. That's about it though. But hey, at least we would know that this new coaching staff and the FO is serious about finally going for a real franchise QB.

Please God, don't trade anything for Kolb or McNabb though. These guys are simply not the same outside of the WCO, and McNabb is just about finished anyway. That is not the answer to our problems.

I don't like the idea of drafting any of these QBs at #1, but I understand the desperation. Perhaps Shula would have success bringing them along.

Only qb I would want at 1 is Cam. He needs to have good interviews and set the combine on fire

So this solidify s the argument for Patrick Peterson as the undisputed ready for the Show and Dominate player right?

..back on the Subject...sure Gabbert's arm is powerful but I think Mallet is a better passer(minus the Coke-head allegations) with as good an arm.

But, between spread option QB's Cam dominates the position both passing and running. Gabbert had limited success statistically in a run and gun spread offense and those runs will not be happening in the NFL for Gabbert. Former Mizzou QB Chase Daniel, dominated in this same offense statistically, with limited physical tools. Gabbert has huge feet, plodding unnaturally running with limited lateral mobility.

Newton looks like a WR when he runs-Fluid, natural, decisive: something that helps even the Vince Young's, Vick, Mccnab's, Steve Young's, Farve, Cunningham's create a hard to defense aspect of the offense.

I agree with Mr. Scot in that I do not want to see yet another project QB come in: which is all QBs in this draft and 95% of all rookie QBs in any draft.

Id rather get a Patrick Peterson to help with the 3, 4, 5 reciever sets that may be coming our way....and Gamble was a little shaky at the end of the season with his benching. Peterson, Gamble, Munnerlyn is better than Gamble, Munnerlyn, CJ Wilson? Mcclain?.... but I digress.

Rivera did also say in a PSL confrence call yesterday that the Panthers need to get a TALL Qb...lol ... sorry Claussen supporters.... and that may be a tell.
