So was this an original Cam Newton thread? I mean I even got some Armanti fanyboy trolling in and it's only Monday.

If we draft Newton - or Gabbert, or any other QB for that matter - I'll consider it to be a huge mistake, same as I did drafting Clausen last year (until we got LaFell).

But as with any other draft pick that I've thought was a mistake (and there have been plenty) I'll hope for the best.

There are definitely quarterbacks I'd be willing to take in this draft if the circumstances were different. But given that we've already got two young guys and no truly established starter, the answer is no, I don't want to see a QB picked in the draft.
