Will lack of CBA affect Madden 12 release?

I'm sure they will come up with something. There will still be a draft so they will probably come up with a 2012 game just to come out with new potential rosters. They'll just revise and update 2011 most likely. Or maybe it's possible that they will charge an online roster update fee for the 2011 draft and forgo making madden 2012.

First, before you spout off, if you don't like or care about Madden then f**k off because I made it clear in the title what this thread was about.

With that out of the way, will a lockout or lack of a CBA effect the upcoming years Madden installment? This is the first year I haven't played Madden online because of the ridiculous fee, but I'm gonna break down and pay if I don't get a new Madden this year. Anybody know how this works, because the game is licensed by the NFL and NFLPA both? Does it even matter?

What is this fee to play madden online? I didn't have to pay a fee. You just have to enter the code that comes with the game.

This would be like asking if all wars stop will Call of Duty games stop coming out? EA will continue to sell a halfway decent football product and release it with very little or mediocre updates year in and year out just to make the huge sum of money that comes with the process. Check out the awesome new feature for Madden 12, surprise onside kicks. And for realism, when the Eagles player recovers you see a Giants player clapping his hands in celebration. John Fox would be proud.

NCAA Football is better, honestly.

This.

I love NFL world's more than college ball, but NCAA Football is just so much more fun than Madden.

Maybe if EA would work on things that make the game fun (like the recruiting and things in NCAA) instead of making their main features things like: http://sportscasm.com/2011/02/14/madden-nfl-12-to-allow-surprise-onside-kicks/

Ow wee mayne..

Dammit CatMan! I was actually hoping that no Madden release would bankrupt EA so that a decent game developer could make NFL games. You know, one that listens to what people want. Heaven forbid they actually work on Franchise mode and make it decent, nope instead we are going to introduce what everyone has been clamoring for, surprise onside kicks!! WTF?!?!?
