So this weekend I was hanging with my bud, annnndddd I spilled his homebrewed honey porter on my macbook that is 1.1 years old. I.E. 0.1 years over the warrenty (not that it covers liquid damage.)

I went to the Apple Store, and I told them the truth about what happened. They said it is a flat rate of $755 to get liquid damage fixed.

I hinted that I was a grad student and I probs couldn't afford it. Then the girl said they would make an exception, cause I was honest and it was the 1st problem I have had, and they said they would give me a "free pass" and fix it for FREE!!!!!!!!.

So they are gonna fix it for $0, and it is not even under any type of warrenty.

I love you, Apple.

Bruce Costner well, I spilled 12 oz of honey porter on my keyboard and pretty much fried the thing. My warranty expired 3 weeks ago, and it was going to cost me $755 to get it fixed. Apple gave me a free pass and is fixing it for free. Btw, hows your ipod treating you, pelosi? #hypocrisy ;-)

Mark yeah you would like a company that gives stuff away and doesn't honor their contractual relationships. #socialism

Bruce Costner It was actually charity, and Capitalism promotes charitable actions. The government didn't force Apple to fix it for free. Furthermore, I didn't sign a contract that disallows them from fixing the computer for free. As of January, there was no contract, or obligations. #MarkFail
