JR condescending to Peyton Manning during CBA meeting?

The tone Feeley described sound's alot like the tone in Richardson's press conf. not long ago. I would hope that some of the other owner's will try to settle Jerry down a bit. Maybe Jerry's upset about the deal's Jake and Pepper's got and is bringing that anger with him to the meeting's. One thing's for sure, talking to player's that way will not help land the player's we need in the future, if they agree to a new CBA. It just seem's to make the Panthers look bad IMO. Like everyone in the huddle, I love this team and after such a difficult year, the last thing the Panthers and fan's need is more bad press.

It's true, we only know one side of the story and we're hearing it from someone who would be motivated to make JR and the owners look bad.

We don't know what the tone of the meeting was up until that point, or what Manning's tone was... maybe he had it coming?

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks there was more to this.

Some of you guys seem to have this idea of the negotiations going along smoothly, with JR sleeping in a corner under a blanket or something. Then out of nowhere he stands up, points an accusing finger at Manning and starts flinging insults and condescension.

We don't have any of the context. So maybe he did hurt Manning's feelings. Maybe Manning even deserved it. Still, it sucks our owner has to play bad cop. Would rather it be someone elses. :P

I think most of us would agree with this and feel that way like all other topics during this cba mess.... However JR has showed this same attitude before unprovoked during his press conference. The difference is he has recently showen a pattern of this behavior/attitude that give most of us no reason to believe this is not true.

With each passing day, I lose more and more respect for Richardson and scoot closer and closer to the player's side.

Greedy, stubborn old coots.

Richardson's definition of "negotiating" is the players coming to him and saying "Alright Mr. Richardson, we'll give you what you want!" and anything less for JR causes him to get angry, storm out of meetings and go fondle his beloved pie-charts.

I can see and hear old man Richardson now with his chicken gizzard neck flapping and his gargally country voice.....I'm thinking it sounded a little something like this....

Dew eye kneed ta hep ya reed ah rebanew chawrt suun, dew eye kneed ta burache dat daownd fer ya, becuz eye downta nose ifins ya nose howt ta reed dat?

And after he gargalled that mouth full out, his chicken gizzard neck continued to shake for 10 minutes. Jeez, what was Manning thinking, testing one of the Hardees cofounder like that!

You are kind of losing it.

LOL, not at all. In fact, I'm enjoying the irony. You have consistently displayed the same kind of condescending attitude towards me, that you're accusing JR of displaying towards Manning. At least JR is doing it in order to accomplish something worthwhile...if he's doing it at all. You're just trying to win a worthless argument with somebody you have never even met.

Honestly dude, I couldn't care less if JR talked down to a couple of QB's or not. It's not like this will be a deal breaker or anything.

It looks even more obvious, that JR wants to force a lockout in best interest of this team and obtaining andrew luck next year. Yes I think JR would make that sacrifice to ensure the future of his football team.

And obviously he's not thinking of the FANS. And that's when I get pissed! He's just an incompetent 70 year old a**hole.
