Gold medal Richardson monkey.

ok crazy, reign it back in. the you are all mindless sheep defense is very telling here.

You're position is not intelligently defensible and your opinion on the subject is clearly inane beyond anything I have ever read on this board which is ****** FULL of idiots. Now you are playing the party of the solely enlightened because you are a bit butt hurt and don't know where else to turn.

Give it up. There are plenty more capable players that real football fans will be happy to pay and see than the 1900 or so on and off rosters last year. The owners hold all the cards and the players know it. The only reason they are acting like they have any play at all is to hope and pray for mindless simpletons such as yourself to band with similarly warped schleprocks of the world and cry about corporate oppression all whilst drooling over the personal heros that are the celebrities of this sport. That is their entire vision of support in this clash. Yes. It is quite sad.

You represent the type of fan that this sport does not need and the type of person that is all that is wrong with the world today.

OK, you are officially just talking to hear yourself talk.

Look at the list of current owners. Very few are original owners. Only 4 out of the 32 teams are still owned by the original owner and only 1 of those team was not added to the league since 1993, meaning only the Titans are held by their original owner. 5 teams are held by heirs to the original owner in some capacity, meaning part owner or member of franchise. 22 out of 32 teams have changed ownership in the last 30 years. I'd say that 69% turnover is a rather high number. Wouldn't you?

I find that very relevant.

xfl, cfl are not relevant when there is nfl dumbass

whatever the nfl fields people will watch. they will complain and whine and bitch and moan but they will watch. You know it, JR knows it and Demaurice Smith knows it. No amount of Al Sharpton grandstanding and Jesse Jackson flag waving is gonna change it

The list of people who can afford a team is one thing and then there's the fact that owning an NFL team is not exactly the best investment in terms of return. These guys do it because they love the game or love their egos but certainly not because it's the best thing to put their money into.

Turnover rate shmurnover rate....the turnover rate for players is 100%.

Cool. So we agree. Owning an NFL team isn't about pie charts and "rebanue", it's about status. Someone please tell Richardson to sell his yacht if he can no longer afford it. Thanks

If you replace the NFL players, then you're left with the XFL, CFL and what ever other FL you like......that's all...you're cut off.

On average, the top 20 teams are worth $21.2 million and pulled in $9.8 million in revenue per team, of which 49% came from tickets...As a result, margins for clubs that draw well are often fat, and these 20 clubs generated average operating income (earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation) of $3 million.

Anyone like to take a guess at what professional sports league this article is referencing to? I'll give you a hint; it's not the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLS or MLB.

While Riddel makes very valid and pointed posts, his incessant use of the monkey/nanner does nothing but denigrate his said posts. If he could find a way to step off of his purported high horse, I think that his posts would be better digested and accepted... as they hold quite a bit of validity.
