i like it..it atleast lets me know they have a open mind heading into next season.

Exactly.

IIRC, every offensive player in San Diego were used correctly in their offense.

Gates, LT, Brandon Manumaleuna, etc. I can see Chuds utilizing our offensive talent.

You had me at first, but lost me when you called him the best QB on the roster. That is not what the article was about. No basis for that assumption.

Secondly, I hate the wildcat. Just my opinion.

What I like is the idea that Armanti could become something of a third down back. a slot WR/back who could break open screens and maybe find daylight on draw plays. motion out to a slot.

This is how you use Edwards. He is no NFL QB, so you Boone goons get that out of your heads. The NFL is not for you to relive small college glory. Just because ASU beat one of the worst defenses in Big 10 history does not mean we owe him a thing. Got quiet about Dexter Jackson pretty quicky, I noticed. Best players from the Mountains of NC: Brad Hoover, FB, Carolina Panthers. Dean Biasucci, all time leading scorer, Indy Colts; Clyde Simmons, All Pro Defensive End, Philadelphia Eagles. All from WCU.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, knew Dexter wasn't going to amount to anything. He fumbled/failed on lots of punt returns when he was with Appalachian...so bad they they benched him mid season. What Tampa Bay saw in him is beyond me.

Armanti wasn't properly evaluated by Fox's staff IMO...I don't think he'll be anything other than a poor man's Randel El but he definitely has the football IQ to run through blocks and in the open field. If the Panthers gave him the ball off screens or quick outs, I bet he would have been successful. But instead they played him very little at WR and ran the slower Lafell in those routes which didn't amount to anything until the end of the season when Brandon had that long ass run.

Oh, and don't forget Mark Royals, who was in the league for 20 years, and Corey Lynch, who played well this season and had a pick-6 for Tampa Bay this year I believe.

um AE wasn't ignored he started off doing what most WRs start off doing and kept fuging up and lost games for us that is why he was pulled early...how soon you guys forget. Not saying anyone else played much better or that incompetence wasn't in part to blame but how much can coaching effect punt returnerning I think had he shown more he would have played more. I think the only fair argument is he needs more time to develop. Hopefully this will be true. He does need to bulk up more, but so did Goodson and he got much stronger so we will see. I am hoping Gettis bulks up as well.

Don't blame Armanti's shortcomings on Fox/Davidson's incompetence. Not every 5'8 180 pound speedster is Steve Smith.

lol Dexter Coakley is oddly absent from your list. 7 straight 100+ tackle seasons and 4 Pro Bowls. Fourth in tackles all time in Cowboys history.

Also nobody cares about FCS football and your marginal rivalry with App State so you can quit hating Armanti Edwards for stupid reasons any time.

If nobody cares, why did you respond? My point was that nobody cares to hear that crap from ASU all the time. You missed the point because WCU people never acted like Hoover was the second coming. Now, regroup, learn to interpret verbal irony, and you will find that fewer things are stupid when you understand them.

Yes your original post where you rattled off a list of WCU players who achieved a middling level of success in the NFL as what I assume is supposed to be some kind of counterpoint to whatever the original topic was (Armanti Edwards I guess) was dripping with "verbal irony". How could I have missed that.

There's nothing wrong with saying that Armanti Edwards was a blown pick, what the hell were they thinking type deal. Based on your post it's pretty clear that you wouldn't care any more than any other Panthers fan except for the fact that you pull for WCU, a program on the losing side of a pissing match with ASU since time began. There are a couple of other WCU posters here and it's really obvious that they feel that way even if you don't.

Yes, ASU homers are annoying and their introduction into any sane NFL conversation usually makes it unbearable in short order. Yes, it's a ridiculous notion that Armanti Edwards is going to be an amazing NFL player just because of his FCS pedigree. I deal with App homers who aren't Panthers fans every day, and they have all kinds of moronic notions about what Edwards would do if only the Panthers would play him. Of the ones who are Panthers fans, at least half of them are threatening to cut bait and go back to the Redskins or what the fug ever if they don't start him because they jumped on the bandwagon shortly after his name was called. So I understand where you're coming from to some degree.
