obviously the most dominate player in modern history and I really thought the game would miss him. With so much up and coming young talent though, it's refreshing to watch some golf on tv with discussions about other players!

We've gone from "Tiger this", "Tiger that"... to "that's like Tiger", "Tiger would have done this..." but it's a start...

I love seeing these young guys like DJ, Rory, Vegas, Kim, Mahan, Tommy Two gloves, and a lot of the others... makes it more exciting imo.

There is a ton of real talent on the tour right now.

yup...and as times goes by, the Tiger references will slowly go away too. In fairness, they still make comparisons to great of days gone by too. Can't forget about them, but the tiger talk is slowly minimizing anyway.

Probably the main reason I grew to dislike Tiger (aside from his childish on-course antics, which I have seen in person) is the complete nut hugging the media gives him.

hell yes...me too!

part of the same reason why I hate the Toronto Maple Leafs...haven't done poo for 44 years and counting but because the CBC is based in Toronto and air most of the hockey games, they can't stop sucking on their nuts.

Tiger Woods is NO WHERE near done!

The dude is 35 and has plenty of gas left in the tank. He's the best golfer on the tour hands down... This is the problem with is these days. We need instant gratification, and we want it now, and we dint want to wait... So right now the majority if people are jumping on the Rory bandwagon.

I'm still on the Tiger wagon... When I watch any tournament he is in, I will always hope all of the other players miss every putt... I hope he wins at least 20 Majors...

And mist importantly when he wins his next major, and make no mistake he will win several more at a minimum... But I hope that when he wins his next one he says this...

" Yeah it was a tough tournament, but I've done this before... Then looks at camera... You guys know who I am right? I'm Tiger Woods... Thank you to all my fans who have stuck by my side through the good times and bad... And everybody else.... Here's what I got for you... (flicks middle finger directly at camera) and AA he's walking off to turn in his score card... Whoever is interviewing him will be like... But Tiger... For him to only tell whoever it is to go fug himself!

That's who Tiger Woods is and that's who he needs to be... He needs to stop being "respectful" to the game and be Damn Tiger Woods!

Just like when all that stuff went on with him and his wife... He came out and did the "respectful" thing... He should have told the truth....

Look guys and fans... I messed up. My wife stopped putting out and I'm the best golfer on earth... I wanted a Lil somin on the side and I got busted. I'll deal with my family issues like a man and accept my responsibilities for my indiscretions... BUT when I get back don't expect anything but Tiger Woods to be on the course...

Whatever though... It is what it is.... He'll win more majors and when he does the media will be all over his nuts again... The fair weather fans will jump off of whoever's nuts that won the previous tournament... The haters will hate again, and say well he won't win again... Or maybe one gets bold and actually heckled him... Who knows?

One thing is for sure though... Tiger Woods is far from done! Wait until he cones back healthy for the first time in years... You'll see!

Frenzied web sites speculated that Woods, currently out with injuries, would say he is not returning to the links this year, or perhaps even that he is retiring -- but no so fast.

Turns out that the Golf Channel is only interviewing Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg.

"There's an erroneous report that he's making an announcement, but he's not," Steinberg told the Associated Press.

Such is journalistic life in the Internet age.
