Paul Azinger comments on Tiger at the 2012 Masters:

"Tiger's antics this week were an embarrassment to the game, to the membership at Augusta. I was really disappointed to see him carry on that way. He's not trying to endear himself to anybody. And after he won Bay Hill I thought, 'here we go again, this is going to be Tiger just kicking butt and taking names.' I don't know. I thought he acted like the south end of a northbound mule.

UPDATE: ESPN is coming down on Paul Azinger for mocking President Obama on Twitter. The golf analyst tweeted Thursday the commander in chief plays more golf than he does -- and that Azinger has created more jobs this month than Obama has.

On Friday ESPN 'reminded" Azinger his venture into political punditry violates the company's updated social network policy for on-air talent and reporters.

"Paul's tweet was not consistent with our social media policy, and he has been reminded that political commentary is best left to those in that field," spokesman Andy Hall told Game On! in a statement.

So Azinger was there working for ESPN, he's not on the CBS crew is he?

Tiger would do well just to have the mindset everyone can kiss his ass and to just do his thing. Maybe not as extreme as you suggest however. :P

I mean, here's Azinger the week before The Masters:

PAUL AZINGER: I’m pumped because I think honestly this is going to be one of the most anticipated Masters in a long time, and really I think the whole Tiger Woods winning at Bay Hill was huge. He’s going to be the most confident player in the field. He’ll probably come off as a favorite ahead of Rory McIlroy and whoever is ranked ahead of him.

I think the anticipation is pretty big for this event, and these guys said earlier, with McIlroy and Donald and Mickelson and all the top players being red hot, I think we look forward to a great event.

I think that Tiger Woods still is the big draw on this Tour obviously. I’ve said all along I thought the Tour was kind of a two‑show pony, and Tiger was one and Mickelson was kind of getting a half and then the rest get a half, but I believe that dynamic has changed a little bit now with McIlroy playing the way he has and Luke Donald becoming the type of player he has become. There is a lot of anticipation for this Masters. Tiger with the convergence of his physical and mental aspect to him now. You think about it, as Curtis alluded to, the kind of post “it hit the fan” with Tiger Woods, he finished fourth two years in a row at Augusta really where his head wasn’t in the game, and he had a bad left knee and he was in the midst of a colossal swing change. He still finished in the top 5 at this event.

Who knows; he’s coming in the most confident player, and if his mind is like it was at Bay Hill and he’s physically even close to where he was, he might run off and hide from this field.

I don't care for Tiger, but I agree with Dpanther and KG... if he's gonna win, he's gonna have to be "himself" and just say "f the world"... I think he can still have that fire and emotion without acting like a spoiled brat on the course. Tiger's problems are mostly mental... which in golf is the key to the game. He's had to change his swing due to physical issues, but as you saw two weeks ago, he can win on tour... he just let his mind get away from him at Augusta.

Hey KG, what's up with Tiger? Played more poorly at the Masters than ever... missed the cut at the Wells Fargo, in danger of missing the cut unless he really tightens up today at the Players... I thought he was back? :)

Sounds to me like he needs to find a couple of hot blondes and have an all-nighter to get back into golf form...

In all reality, I think he's changed too much in his swing and it's causing him to be wildly inconsistent... that and he's still not putting like old Tiger. The putting being off is bad enough... combine that with his wild tee and iron play and he's not doing anything anytime soon...

BTW, he hit the ball in the fairway on #5 last Friday so I didn't get to see him that close... Rory was playing with him and hit the ball right at me and I got to hold the rope for him and clear the gallery out before he hit... Rory said "Thank you" in his Irish lilt... Tiger probably would have cursed at me... :)

It's kinda funny how Tiger is aways compared to whoever is hot this week.

I usually look how he's doing compared to say Mcilroy or Mickelson. 2 strokes behind Mcilroy, 3 strokes behind Phil.

Mcilroy 7 strokes back, Tiger 9. Meh.

I don't like it that people (and esp ESPN) always do that too... they'll mention him and not mention the winner...

But in all fairness, I don't do that... and that's not what we're talking about. He missed the cut last week and he's close to missing it this week too... has he ever missed two straight cuts?
