Easy, confidence. He has always had the talent. But years ago he was married to a hottie, had a kid, was rich... and on the side was banging women who treated him like a god. So talent + I AM THE MAN = wins galore.

Now he's divorced, stressed, doesn't always see his kid, isn't as rich, and although he can still bang chicks, they probably aren't as into him since he's not married. Confidence broken = tied amongst others as one of the best golfers.

Tiger is striking the ball well, he just can't putt. When have you seen him miss a 2' putt like he did on 16 yesterday?

On another note, all ESPN can talk about (since Tiger didn't win) is how Phil "beat" Tiger, as if Tiger is the only golfer... I'm sorry but that's so disrespectful to those other guys like Wi and Mahan and the others on tour. Sure, some people only watch because of Tiger, but most don't.

Golf is a game of confidence and mental calm. I'm sure the surgeries and scandals have shaken him a bit. But physically he is probably okay it's just matter of when or if he'll get his swag back. He is really starting to show is age though, damn.

Oh yeah... and that's my point... Phil WON that tournament yesterday... when you go out and shoot 64 on Sunday, you've done something. I know it was a quasi big deal that Phil and Tiger were paired together, but ESPN worships at the alter of Tiger much like they do The Golden Calf of Bristol, Brady and used to do to Favre.

It just gets old... they'll cover any tourney anywhere that Tiger is in... yet Bill Haas wins 11 million dollars hitting a shot OUT OF THE fuging WATER and they spend literally 5 seconds on it.

Tiger may come back... he's hitting the ball well, his putting is just not what it was and putting is literally EVERYTHING on the PGA... that's how Phil won yesterday, he putted lights out. It's also why Wi wasn't in it... he didn't putt well...

I didn't think Tiger was hitting the ball that great, he missed a lot of greens from the fairway with a wedge in the last round. His putting was horrid though.

Although I have to admit that I'm a huge Phil fan (we lefty golfers have to stick together) and was glad to see Tiger slide down the leaderboard. I admire Tiger for his talent but I would never root for the guy to win. And as someone mentioned earlier, these sportscasters and news outlets act like he's the only one worth watching. Unfair to the rest of the field.

And it goes hand in hand with the expectations placed on Tiger by said media and fans of golf. Anything short of outright victory is failure.

It's like the Patriots and so many writing them off after losing to the Giants.

They went 13-3, and were one Wes Welker catch away from winnig it all. Most organizations, like most golfers would give their left nut to have Tiger's success, or the Patriots.

Tiger was 11 under heading into Sunday, Wi was 15 under and shot par. Wi should have won. Bit Phil went 8 under the final Sunday and blew by everyone. He earned that W.

It wasn't Tiger or Wi's failure, it was Phil's greatness.

I doubt they will... he's still a huge draw. His galleries at the tournaments are still twice as big as other golfers... even Phil's. He'll have to really fall off for them to drop his name from the game...

Lowest final round of his career- 62. First round cost him dearly. Promising sign since he usually starts strong and fugs up at the end.
