You need to go back and read some of Cyberjag's post about how certain he is Clausen will be significantly better this next season compared to his rookie year. That is what I was responding to......that doesn't happen in the NFL w/ rookie QBs. That is just basic reality of rookie QBs going into year 2.....not hate.

technically, every QB on a roster should compete....best player should always play. You would have to try pretty dang hard to create a roster where Clausen was the best option going into his 2nd year.

I think that this opportunity gives Jimmy an chance to be a better QB in Carolina.If he and shula can get together and work and make good and quick progress he could be a pretty good player.I think he knows by now that he has one chance.If he blows it, it could be over for him in Carolina real fast.I think he will do pretty good next season it will be and better improvement from last.This also gives him and chance to grow and get into a better system even if his talents fit an offense more like the west coast.

it would be nice if Landri exploded next season and looked the part of a legit starting DT. It would be nice if we didn't need to worry about addressing that position.

Landri hasn't earned a new thread everyday where fans can talk about how certain he is magically going to look completely different next year. With no real logic behind why he will. Realistically, Landri isn't going to look magically better.......he is what he is. Saying that about Landri doesn't make you a bad fan or hater.

at least I can back up opinion w/ some reasoning behind it.......NFL history shows rookie QBs don't take big steps forward in year 2. They often go backwards. So you got lumped in w/ Cyber's post but that happens....just like when people assume TRD and CRA think the same things.

I think there will be better coaching and gameplans. Clausen is still a WC QB ...in the wrong NFL offense to have chance.

Landri also isn't getting blasted too the level as Clausen. Landri as of right now is not on this team and If Clausen Improves it helps the team in more ways then landri.

I don't think Jimmy will improve greatly next season......that doesn't happen w/ NFL QB after a rooke year.. Did Jaws claim he would be much better NEXT season??

I have repeatedly said Jimmy could develop in a few years into a decent QB.....but not running a vertical passing attack. Starting him next season would just make no sense.

If Jaws is the end all be all for you good......but if Jaws knew so much then Matt Moore would still be our QB.
