How can ANYONE even begin to suggest that the coaches didn't work with him? Didn't coach him? There is not a shred of thinking at all in your statement.

The kid was a rookie, and struggled like most rookies would when thrown to the wolves without much help from what was suppose to be a good running game, and our receivers.

Teams now have almost of full season of tape on the kid....rookies take steps backwards b/c teams know their struggles.....and Jimmy has a LOT for teams to pick at.

Clausen may get better....but it will be from sitting. Kid shouldn't see the field at all next year.

You need to go back and read some of Cyberjag's post about how certain he is Clausen will be significantly better this next season compared to his rookie year. That is what I was responding to......that doesn't happen in the NFL w/ rookie QBs. That is just basic reality of rookie QBs going into year 2.....not hate.

technically, every QB on a roster should compete....best player should always play. You would have to try pretty dang hard to create a roster where Clausen was the best option going into his 2nd year.

It's pretty simple. Even accounting for whatever you think the coaching staff and O-Line did to Jimmy, he still sucked.

ehhhh...i don't think you are going to find many people that will agree with either of those, esp. re: fox developing clausen.

pretty well accepted that fox/davidson/rip did little to nothing, and in fact probably made him worse....esp. rip. rip is someone who is known to get into players heads and make them think about other things than the game. fox was coaching scared and probably did more to inhibit growth in clausen.

Before I start let me say I was a big Luck person and had lost all hope in Clausen.

Since Luck is staying in school and Jimmy is taking so much crap for being horrible his 1st year. I'm starting 2 be a Jimmy fan.

I hope this kid can get everything that Rip taught him washed from his head and get better from better coaching and a better system.

As I look back at all the scouting reports he didn't get bad grades from any service. Most if not all had him pegged as a Franchise QB.

Maybe we should try 2 build around him he did have a bad freshman year at ND then got better every year afterthat.

Maybe it's wishful thinking but do any of you think Jimmy can be a franchise QB with better coaching fixing the oline and maybe a elite TE added 2 the weapons we have at RB and WR?

"Just saying" you are piss poor at trying too figure out what other people are thinking. What's wrong with wanting a CAROLINA PANTHER PLAYER too improve even if it's too prove people wrong. I feel he is getting dogged and it would be nice (not only for him and the team) too see him rise from the horrible season he had.
