exactly. Neither Clausen nor Pike are those type QBs. That is why they looked so lost in Fox's offense. Chud will require the same. I understood Carolina taking them in the draft as Fox was on his way out and the future was an unknown (and it could give the new HC some toys)y.....but the opted to stay w/ the vertical game w/ the new hire. Clausen and Pike simply don't fit that......no matter how much people want them to be that, they just aren't those type QBs.

Clausen was a mid 2nd rounder and Pike was a 6th....those aren't the kind of investments you waste seasons on trying to turn them into players they simply aren't.

Dam CRA you should call Hurney because your obviously out of work GM. Your madden team must crush everybody.

Yeah because it's good too have a OC who knows nothing about the passing game and a HC who had 1 foot ou the door. Anybody likes 2 play in that situation. Also a QB coach who has a knack for f'ing up QB that also a great thing 2 have your rookie year. Not too mention Bernacrap and Gray williams blocking for you and rookie wr's wow he should have dominated. Your right CRA lets bring everybody back and try again.:hurray:

yeah, a very very very average QB in Matt Moore had no problem making plays in the passing game in 2009 or 2010. He had plenty of chances to make plays despite the run game being asleep. Moore's dumb throws were the problem in 2010 in his very brief playing time. Dumb throws can be fixed (but that doesn't mean I even want Moore back).

but with Jimmy, he was doomed..DOOMED!! He had not chance to make basic plays b/c of the horrible scenario he was in. I mean, yeah he was given time to hit open WRs but b/c Mike Goodson missed a block in another quarter Jimmy gets a free pass for the game to implode and do nothing.

No. I am not smart enough to be a GM. I can just watch a game and when someone sucks as bad as Clausen did in 2010.....I can actually recognize it and say, yeah, he sucks. It ain't hard.

What takes real skill is to spin someone who sucks like Clausen and claim he actually wasn't that bad. Maybe you should call Hurney.....you could help him explain why the Armanti debacle of 2010 makes sense when NE drafts a stud w/ our 33rd pick.

Yeah let's talk about the last 6 games 2009 when you had Moose and Hoov and J stew was building on a 1000 yard season. Yeah let's negate the fact that other people have said that davidson was lost when it came 2 a passing game. Let's also negate the fact that Jimmy was a rookie and the staff was not trying 2 develop him at all because they knew they were gone at the end of the season.

That's your problem nobody saying he wasn't bad this year. The thread was about hoping Jimmy could improve. Then you and the rest of the Jr. Polians come in and say we shouldn't have hope because he sucks and won't ever get better. So what if Armanti thing works out? It has only been 1 SEASON but you again being SUPER GM and MRS. CLEO advisor know that it's not going 2 work. So everybody CRA knows the future we should all just do what he thinks.

okay, lets talk about how Stewart was running at a similar pace at the end of the 2010 season and when Carolina had better #2 options in LaFell/Gettis who actually got open unlike the 2009 Moose. Running game wasn't a problem for the majority of Clausen's starts.

Fox was trying to win....lameduck or not. Fox has an ego and his resume took a HUGE hit in 2010. Fox wasn't laying down or given less than any other season.

it is always a different excuse.....it is the running backs, no it is the OL, wait I mean it was Davidson, I meant Fox, wait.....Clausen was a rookie, no one was open, the blizted too many people and that is cheating What? I am not sure why the Skeletons and Webbs even showed better basics but I think there was a full moon that night or something.

The THREAD IS ABOUT HOPING HE GETS BETTER. Maybe if you see it in cap letter you understand that your being a real prick. You hate this kid so much that people can't hope he improves?? Are you serious??? Why everytime you see his name drool comes out your mouth???? CLAUSEN, CLAUSEN, CLAUSEN, does that make you have chills or what???

CRA and TRD have made a strong case for their ability to evaluate talent, but I'm not sure it's the case they hoped to make.

It's getting 2 the point that some people don't even want him in the competition for our QB. Plus these jr. GM are really feeling themselves. I wish 1 can post a check of how much money that make scouting talent.

Holy crap, that's a long list of disappointment.

This is why you have no clue.

Without Foster we don't make the superbowl or the NFCC 2 years later.

Richard Marshall has been a solid player for us.

E brown may be on the same path CJ he didn't put up doulbe digit sacks his 1st 2 years either.

Jimmy has only had 1 season maybe we give him 2-3 before he is a bust.

Clausen is just a "running QB". QBs who barely complete half their passes and scramble out of the pocket any time they feel pressure dont make it in the NFL. Clausen is listed at 6'2-6'3 but everyone I talk to thats been around him or met him this season tells me dude is barely 6'0 and he is NOT a physical specimen at all. Might be why all his passes get batted away at the line of scrimmage and he isnt strong enough to hurl the ball downfield. I think sitting behind a Cam Newton for a few years would help Jimmy out tremendously. Let him re-learn the QB position behind a stud.

Then the people you talk 2 are idiots cause he's every bit 6'2 and Drew Brees Aaron rodgers and Tom Brady aren't Physical specimen either. And if you think anybody sitting behind Cam Next SEASON I have poo covered gold 2 sell you.
