How did you meet the Huddle?

I don't remember when I joined. It's been several years. 04 I think. When was survivor? It was before the first season, and I played the second season.

First huddle tailgate we attended there was maybe 20 people. I just remember yelling for cooter and livermush in the parking lot. lol Chris just said that was in 05.

Oh, and I googled panthers message board.

I have been posting on Panthers boards since I was 14ish. I was on the original Panthers board pre crash, and again post crash until it was disbanded.

I then joined a site that I believe was called Panthers Edge, although I could be wrong. It was run by a guy who went on to run the Panthers' scout page.

I did not like the Scout Page, and I saw Panthers Huddle being touted on that board by a few people, so I joined.

I've been here through the name change to Carolina Huddle due to pending lawsuits and through the board crashes of this site that destroyed my post counts

I'm much less active today than I used to be, mostly because John Fox semi-killed my love for football. I'm much less a football fan that I was 5 years ago. I haven't had an entertaining product to cheer for since 2003. Even when we were good, we were boring.

i did an image search in 05 for sexy panther girl, and up popped some kittens. i created the ktlong account and lurked a while after that, and changed to the current user name after the crash.

After I met my wife we'd be hanging out in her apartment and she was constantly checking "the huddle" to see what was going on with the gay guy who rage quit the board, Rayj?

Anyways, I thought the concept of a message board was way too nerdy for me and told her I was wary of meeting her internet nerd friends, or internerds as I said back then.

She drug me to a tailgate and after meeting some of these folks (and being touched inappropriately *cough* scrum *cough*)I decided to give the huddle a shot.

Many years and mucho lost productivity at work later I'm still here.

Originally was part of the CO forum. Once they changed the format and had whistle blowers getting people banned for having an opinion different than everyone else's, I decided to lurk over here. I signed up back in 09, posted like one or two posts, then lurked until this past training camp, then started posting regularly.

I posted there in the late '90s early '00s. When I came here, I never went back. Can't understand why some people still post there. But then again, some people still have no cell phone.

Not sure. I just read it for the pic-of-the-day thread. Lurked a little. But there have been a lot of n00bs registered there since I first joined. Many of them don't really understand the original concept of the board. It may have jumped the shark.
