How did you meet the Huddle?

When the actual Panthers.com board got shut down, I split time between here and PantherPlanet. When PP shut down, I stayed here.

Just for fun, anybody remember Sledge and Carol?

I was in Auburn in 2004 and I saw this website over some guy's shoulder while I was stealing his beer.

all these people talking about knowledgeable fans..

joined sometime around March-May of '06 (IIRC).. some dude told me about it, had never really thought about joining a forum until then.. am much too lazy to check all information sources and realized I could ride the coat tails of everyone who did.

I googled for the board with the worst servers on the interwebz and presto....

I kid I kid. I think I was looking for a picture of Steve Smith back in 2006 or so and I was linked to an image someone had posted on here.....

It was 2004 and I owned a cell phone store in a fairly bad location for foot traffic, which when not hustling to get people in the door left me with time to surf the webz... also coincided with the Panthers having just gone to the Super Bowl. I don't remember who tipped me off to the site, but I found it when we had all of maybe 30 members and quickly became immersed in the ass & titties here... and that got me hooked. It became my role to go to other teams' messageboards and try to recruit people... Been here ever since and it's been quite a journey!

I got tired of Charlotte observer arguments, and wanted to find a place to talk about the Panthers with other sometimes logical fans. Once I realized this was the place to come for fans' experiences at different events, games, and training camp among other things, as well as, a central for Panthers news, the huddle has stuck to me ever since.

You and I may have been yelling at fairweather fans together. That comment section really makes me hate our fanbase:mad:

I was admin at the Scout site, which was too moderated and slow at times. I had a lot of time on my minds as well and found a lot more going on here, though I didn't care for it much at first. This is the polar opposite of the Scout board...which is a good thing.

Brad's board was a pretty cool place until Scouts.com came in and ruined it.

I forgot to mention that I was a reader of the huddle for awhile before I finally gave in and created an account, also for the longest time I never perused through the other sections. I'm very happy I found the lounge

I think Yahoo suggested this site to me while I was building MyYahoo profile thingy and put in Panthers News. Browsed the site for over a year and a half before I finally joined.
