According to Columbia University sociology professor Sudhir Venkatesh, of the 290 New York City prostitutes he tracked, a full quarter were using Facebook to solicit clients. And that was three years ago—I have a feeling it's only ballooned since then (especially with the handy improved messaging system!). Venkatesh estimates that by now, "Facebook will be the leading on-line recruitment space" for hookers. So yes, there is something you can do on Facebook that's creepier than ogling high school girls.
