Sean McDermott interview

Mr. Scot

well we wanted an aggressive team and by gosh we're gonna be getting it. i love moving away from ball control and moving to game control. panthers are going to control all aspects of the game.

Hold on one sec', pardner!

When did our head coach say he doesn't want ball control?

We can't have ball control and attack?

Now I know you are smarter than that!

Ball control is still important. Yes, there will be times when the offense won't have much time to score...but in the end, ya still want ball control asit aids to ccontroling the game.

While noone can read the future I am stoked about McDermott especially with Rivera as a head coach. I wanted Sean on our team but was afraid we only would get him if we made him a headcoach and like others didn't know if he was ready for that. Philly's loss is our big gain and we got him as a defensive coordinator which is exactly where he belongs with a little guidance.

An attacking 4-3 defense is exactly what we need. I think we all tired of the bend don't break philosophy of Fox. If we can just fix the offense, we could come back much quicker than folks expect. I am stoked to see our defense for the first time since 2006. The past 4 years has been painful to say the least.

keeping Meeks is so huge. Not only is his familiarity with the players going to help bridge the gap in learning all the new scheme, but people forget how good our overall coverage has been since Meeks got here. imagine all the picks we could get with all the confusion caused up front and all the ball hawks lurking in the secondary.. still the big question mark back there is gonna be who our second CB is next year, i'd be quite fine keeping Marshall with Munnerlyn at nickle, they've both been more than adequate and could look even better in a more aggressive scheme..

this type of defense takes a lot of pressure of the our offense, namely Jimmy, who could use every burden lessening trick we can pull for him..

You do realize, that you are an idiot?

I got his point. Just cause I decided to address a singular statment he made in his post, doesn't mean I missed his point. I'm in agreement with the guy. Him and I see eye to eye pretty well. Of course, you knew that. That's why ya said what ya said. Lol

Your hate is strong, and is making you weak.

I finally just watched this video for the first time. Is it just me, or does McDermott remind anyone else of a defensive version of Gruden? They both seem to have that quiet intensity that can quickly boil over into not-so-quiet. Or maybe it's just the fact they're both evil, soulless gingers waiting for the opportunity to conquer and bleach the world. I haven't decided which, yet.
