I thought it was the right choice. Favre was old, grumpy, and becoming a super diva. Aaron Rodgers had already sat on the bench for 3 years, and if you let Favre return, then Rodgers will most definitely demand a trade or at least refuse to sign a long term deal. I was saying then that you can't hitch your wagon to an old Brett Favre for one or two more years when it's going to cost you a chance at 10 or 15 with Aaron Rodgers.

^This. Though I admit I wanted Farve to get a ring with the Vikes just to watch the meltdown in Green Bay.
