With this coaching staff...how many game would have we won last year?

Coaches don't win games for you. They can factor in to it, sure, but it's about the players. I know you blame Fox a lot for last season, LP, but you need to wake up and smell the coffee. Jimmy and Matt were awful last season and it wouldn't have mattered who was calling the shots or coaching them.

Here's a poster who has no idea what he's talking about

probably 4 or 5. there was going to be struggles no matter what, just too many spots populated by learning, growing players. maybe if moore had stayed healthy he could have gotten it together but it probably wouldn't have meant more than 6 or so, IMO.

fwiw, jonathan stewart just tweeted about meeting rivera. good stuff.

Just met coach rivera at the galleria mall in Dallas feelin real #pumped

it's a mix. I don't think Fox caused the injuries that really hurt the team, but I think you can blame the coaching staff for some of the boneheaded play design that was hurting the team early on in the running game and throughout in the passing game, and once Moore went down, we had to start someone who just wasn't ready to be a starter. At the same time the guys never quit and I do think they fought as hard as they could through the season.

I think ultimately we would have gotten maybe another 2 to 4 wins, but I think that the general atmosphere around the team would have been MUCH more positive because it was a building up year.

On the other hand, if we only win 2-4 games next year, people are not going to be very happy I think.

With the coaching staff we have now, I'd say we win 5-7 game's. Fox just did'nt seem to care anymore. I saw in several interview's with Fox and he just seemed to be sleepwalking. He knew he was done here, it was easy for me to see a change in his attitude and how the team responded as well.

If davidson had vacated the booth, his half diet pepsi on it's own probably could have called better plays for us. So with chud I think we could have won quite a few more. I'm so looking forward to not seeing someone clap during a fumble or facepalm during an interception. Coaching had a lot to do with our struggles, especially combining that with our lack of experience...

If you guys haven't checked out cyberjag's blogs on how our coaching changes could affect our offense and defense, do yourselves a favor and check that out!!!

I doubt it would have been much different. Great players make coaches look good far more often than coaches make players look good.

Just look at the two Super Bowl teams. Yeah, they have pretty good coaches, but they are both loaded with talent on both sides of the ball.

Not true at all. Both team's have very iffy O Lines and no one's RB's are scaring anybody (Mendenhall is good but not elite). Steelers WR Corp is average.

The only parts of these teams that are LOADED with talent are GB's WR's, Pittsburgh's D. Also both starting QB's are elite.
