Regenerating vehicle health? Who the fug thought that was a good idea?!

Yeah really. I know in BFBC2, if you had a lvl 50 who knew what we was doing get into a helicopter, or God forbid, one breaks into your spawn and now there are 2 lvl 50 heli's they could light you up and dominate all game. All you could do was ding them up (you're never hitting them with a missile, and they're smart enough to nuke all of the AA guns before you get to them), and hope you could force them to land and repair for a short reprieve. Now you're telling me they won't even have to land and they can stay in the air and repair? If that's the case, I hope they made vehicles more killable.

What are the objectives? How does each person on each team know what to do, what guns to use, etc? So whose to say the entire team doesn't decide "hey I want to snipe, or use an assault rifle?" I am just kinda confused but very intrigued about the game.

Thanks in advance for helping a BF newb. I have been playing the CoD series for years and I always feel its just pray spray and mass murder without any team cooperation.

I've found that it's all personal, all weapons and kits have a different performance and feel. Whatever feels right to you will be what you settle on. And it will vary from map to map. Certain maps are more wide open, and I prefer to snipe rather than get close (And I like the most accurate rifle so I can guarantee one headshot, rather than trying to get 2 center of mass shots on a running target). Other maps have tight interior corridors and lots of vehicles, so I know I want my Mossberg and a rocket launcher. And still other maps have only light vehicles and are a mix of close and ranged, so I take an assault rifle. But sometimes, I see we are down to our last 30 lives or so, so I switch to the Medic so I can res some teammates and make those lives last. It's all relative. Usually your team will figure it out. Sometimes you get unlucky and end up on a team that all want to be snipers, hang out on the corners of the maps (miles from the closest objective so they are useless to team spawn on) and farm kills. But more often than not, they will work with you, and you will be able to figure out what you like, versus what the squad needs, and you will figure out how to blend the two to be mutually beneficial.

I plan on dl'ing the demo the 29th and buying it when it comes out, as well as MW3. Only Battlefield I've ever messed with was the demo for Bad Company and I thought it was corny and sucked, but BF3 looks like the real deal.

You made a grievous error in not playing BF:BC2. Yes the first BF:BC was corny, especially the single player campaign. And the multiplayer was sub-par. BF:BC2 however, has a masterful multiplayer mode. I have a feeling it will be fairly similar to BF3 except the latter will have more vehicles/weapons and superior graphics/engine. If you are into shooters and just played MW2 multiplayer, I am truly sorry for you. You've missed out on a lot of fun for the past year+.

But yes, I agree, BF3 looks amazing.
