Proehl got a weird spot I thought and he wasn't really hired as a coach but a consultant I think.

He was. We basically have coordinators, position coaches, an O and D QC guy and Proehl as as a paid intern/consultant, whatever you wanna call it. He's probably not making that much and it'll get him valuable experience.

The only one that might be different is Proehl but I'm not even sure if that's true.

OSU RB...JaQuizz Rodgers...goes by Quizz. He played under Davis at OSU and had great seasons despite being one of the only weapons on the team, along with his older brother (both in this draft). He was very undersized but ended up having a Heisman run one year.

Last 3 years he's been beasting...His sophomore year was his best. THey had a down year this year but they also played the toughest schedule in the country so it happens.

I've reserched him before and he's mostly been coaching on the defensive side of the ball. The stint at Memphis was his only time coaching RBs, I believe. He's at USC now (not that one...Gamecocks).

In 2002, Helton helped Williams lead the nation in average yards per carry for four weeks of that season. Williams was second in the nation in average yards per carry after 11 weeks and finished the season tied for fifth in the country with 6.6 yards per carry. He later went on to set nearly every U of M rushing, scoring and all-purpose yard record and was selected in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft.

Do these guys have experience in Coryell offensive systems though? That's been a common factor with everyone we've hired so far.

Researched the RB Coach at Miami when Chud was there. That was a no-go.

Doing some research. Found out QB Coach Mike Shula was teammates with former Panther TE Kris Magum's older brother John. John went on to be a three year Bears teammate with head coach Ron Rivera.

One of the coaches on the Alabama staff at that time was Sylvester Croom, current RB Coach for the Rams and someone who's familiar with the Coryell system from time spent as an RB Coach with the Chargers. He'd make sense, except he isn't a college coach.
