Well...that was a rather boring interview.

Yeah, I think the most interesting part about that interview was them talking about all the "dirty player" comments. Ultimately, that shouldn't scare us about Fairley, because I know another guy with a mean streak.

Yeah, this is a big concern. Once he gets paid, is this going to get even worse?

I doubt it. But you never know with any player you draft or what ever. Some people also mention that he plays dirty on the field. But I'm sure if he plays dirty in the NFL and starts leading with helmet on plays. Once he gets fined a few good times. He will learn his lesson after that. But I no one really knows what you will get with Fairly. It will take a few years to tell. That goes for any player you draft. It is a wait and see process if we draft him in this year draft.:cornut:

I loved how they danced around saying he may goto the Panthers. It's like ESPN refuses to acknowledge we even exist, much less have the #1 overall pick.

Man, the entire ESPN crew is going to have their heads explode on television when they have to talk about the Panthers leading up to, and during, the Draft.

Yeah, I was saying the same thing watching it. You know if the Cowtwats had the pick the question would have been "How are you going to try impress the Cowtwats?" instead the question was "How are you going to try and impress NFL teams? really just sad the way ESPN ignores us...oh well, you think we would be used to it by now, but it pisses ya off everytime.

Like others have said, the main thing that scares me about this guy is that I fear his motivation. Is he still going to be motivated when he's cashing those fat checks? If I knew he would be, then I'd take him #1 overall in a heartbeat. He's a great talent at a position of dire need.

This draft should've been such a no brainer. Not meaning to beat a dead horse, but had Luck declared, he was the biggest shoe-in for #1 overall that I can remember. Now we're stuck with the #1 overall pick in a draft with no #1 overall player. Blah!

But, you can say the same question about ANY player coming out of college. There have been many, many busts that were said to be can't miss players.....at every position.

How are people still citing Fairley's dirty play after some of the things Suh did this year? If he did to Brady what he did to Delhomme, he would have gotten a two game suspension.

Honest question here: Why do people question whether Fairley will have motivation after being paid and not any other draft pick? I'm sorry they question Cam Newton too. So Why are these the only two players with motivation after being paid issues?

About the "dirty" play. If true, it will stop with a few fines from the league. I want the offense fearing what a crazed, lunatic DT might do.

Any college player can take the money and suck. That is why you have to look at work ethic. Interviews reveal a lot about incentive.

Cam Newton, for example, is doing everything possible to promote himself to be drafted, in my opinion,not working to be a good NFL QB. He thinks that a few weeks of working with a QB coach is enough to "fool" the scouts. He (and his father) are posturing for a payday and not improvement. By smokescreening his lack of NFL preparation, the plan is to focus on his god-given skills. He has finally hit the level where these skills are not enough. If I am interviewing him, I get him to address his weaknesses. If he sidesteps the questions, he is about cosmetics. If he addresses them and discusses what he is doing to overcome them, then I see a player who realizes he has to improve and knows how to improve.
