Everything i have seen says teams are not as high on Graham as fans are. And im pretty convinced the panthers would pass on him too as this point. They already know who they want. Just my thinking.

I'm judging a book by it's cover here but, he does not have the look of a guy that you pick in the top 10.  He looks like that charismatic fat kid that plays DT on your high school team, but doesn't have the physicals to make it to the next level.

Yeah that's kind of where I was going.  Our board may be 1A Walker 1B Mykel ahead of Graham.  Don't think it's necessarily a good thing, but he could slip to SF.

And not to mention, we have a lot invested in the group of Brown, Robinson, Wharton & Brown II for our 3 DL spots.  Not that those guys should be predicating a draft move (they're not world beaters).

Really think they're weighing LB on our board.

McShay's intel drop today had a few very strongly confident points:

  • QBs are absolutely dropping, Ward may be the only one in Round 1.  Maybe Dart as QB2 (PIT or CLE/NYG trade up), but Sanders is for real dropping.
  • Jeanty isn't going to LVR
  • Best talent is at not-premium but doesn't mean they go high.  The the pass rushers are very talented with just minor things setting them back/it's not a huge gap.  And they are always coveted.  So get ready, teams will still go premium.  Carter, Walker, Mykel, Harmon, Ez, Pearce, Green, Nolen could fly off the board.
    • He's in on the Mykel to CAR train with Campbell and others.  The league loves him.  Got a glimpse at one of his trusted scouts' boards and he was top-6 overall.

I just watched Klatt's mock and Greeny's mock featuring Kiper & Yates on YouTube.  The Jags are now very questionable to take Graham (who has been routinely been mocked to them) which could change the trajectory of the draft.  Jeanty has picked up steam, but the sentiment now is offense no matter what.  Both videos suggested we still are going Walker or Williams--Williams if Walker is off the board, BUT Yates said don't be shocked to see us take an OT with Icky and Moton in contract years in 2026--assuming we pick up the 5th year option.

Yeah a few programs I listen to had similar sentiment.  Lots of stuff coming out to just expect the unexpected compared to what you have not seen from the mock drafters of the world.  This year is going to be different in how much it varies.

McShay says Shedeur would be QB6/QB7 in last year's draft and while there is a lingering whispers about Sanders to the Giants at #3 that just won't go away, chances are he drops all the way to the 2nd round...past the Saints and even past the Steelers at #21.  Dart might even end up QB2 by the time it's all said and done.

I would not touch Sanders. I think most teams feel the same way.

Some good info here from the Athletic around prospects and how they are getting seen.

Edit: It’s keeping me from huffing into a paper bag re: Mykel at least.

Quote

As promising as Carter and Walker are, there is some belief among NFL coaches that the most talented D-lineman available is one of Walker’s teammates at Georgia, Mykel Williams, a 6-5, 260-pound, 20-year-old who was slowed by an ankle injury for the first half of the 2024 season but dominated when he played Texas in two meetings (four sacks). Williams isn’t talked about in draft chatter as a sure top-10 pick, but make no mistake: there is a lot of love for him.

“I think he will have a better career than Jalon or Abdul,” said DL coach No. 1. “He’s physical as f—. He played hurt this year — he didn’t care. Pullers come at him — he intends on f—ing them up. Guys I know at Georgia told me he’s gonna be better than Travon Walker, and I think Walker is a baller. Overall, I think he’s better than all of ’em.”
