You are aware that he has the same general 40 time as guys like Mike Evans and DeAndre Hopkins, right?

4.5-4.6 is about what you expect for most of those big WR's. People think they are going to be Calvin Johnson or DK Metcalf but there is a reason those guys stand out, they are outliers.

yeah he has no real change of direction short bursts of speed he struggles to get off the line

I already know he has  top end speed once he gets going

You can really tell the difference between people that live on measurement vs people that watch these guys play.  Both matter but some guys are just way better football players regardless of that junk.

Travis Hunter is 6’1 185 and he is generally considered a can’t miss.  He could absolutely be too slight and be an injury prone player but no one talks about that.  Playing both ways this guy is going to get hurt…a lot.

yeah size & measurements really has nothing to with it .if so Shemar Stewart standing at  66" & 290 lbs. would be a top # 3 can't miss   pick

They have something to do with it but they should never trump tape.  Tape against competition is most relevant.  Stewart did nothing in college on a crazy talented line.  No damn way am I picking that guy first round.

Travis Hunter is going to get injured a lot.  Will happen.

I don’t see much of a gap from Carter to Walker either.  The size is very similar.  2 inches in height?  Whatever

yeah it's hard to tell with size I mean just look at what Steve Smith did in the NFL at his size

Golden is another small guy at 5'11"  who in my opinion is the best WR in this class ran a 4.29 & then the  kid is a terrific route runner & get open at all 3 levels  something the Panthers desperately need right now

idk what to say about an injury it's really all about genetics some people are more injury prone than others no matter what their size is

I hear you.  Only problem with Golden is he wasn’t even the main target for Texas for most of the season.  #1 WR feels really rich for me.  I don’t like the top WRs in this draft.  The day two guys could be better IMO.

the thing about Golden is if your going to go in the draft & draft for need like everyone is assuming the Panthers are going to do by drafting an edge rusher such as Jaloʻn Walker or Mykel Williams

well then on the flip side of that approach drafting for need the Panthers desperately need a WR who can play on the outside & is a really good route runner who can  get open on all 3 levels & if nothing else it keeps the other teams  defense honest they have to respect Goldens speed & will not able to as easily play man coverage on the outside & then just  stack the box to stop the run like teams were doing all so often last season against the Panthers

idk is there a WR i am forgetting about on our roster right now or is it in fact XL & Coker at 1 & 2  WR with Theilen in the slot ? if so my goodness  I just can't imagine Bryce Young not struggling with that as his his primary targets at WR

I agree with you on the Panthers needing a top speed WR and for that matter a top TE pass catcher.  Both would be great for Bryce and I would love it.

I personally think Jalon Walker is the best player in this draft.  I mean that.  He has all the talent but his leadership and character is so great.  This draft is full of questions…like Carters ankle problem and every guy has questions.  Walker is my dude

T-Mac route running is predicable & will be really easy for these best of the best elite NFL corners to  anticipate where he is going on the field

T-Mac  struggles to get off tbe line & separate no real burst . TMAc is just simply put slow by NFL standards for a WR

T-Mac for sure yes he has a large catch radius for contested catches & a big frame

.T-Mac YAC is not a  physical smash mouth in your face type of player more of a finesse guy so what happens after he catches the ball does not play to his strength/size whichi limitis his ability to gain extra yardage

& when T-Mac blocks n the run game he does not use his size to his advantage by aggressively engaging the defenders

no thanks on T-Mac at #8 its to much of a risk & not a enough reward ...just saying

I love when people go after his YAC ability as if he wasn't 5th in the Big 12 this past season in YAC, because he was.

And you can say his style of YAC doesn't mesh with this type of game, but that on its face is just nonsense, because if he's good enough to be 5th in a major conference, it clearly meshes well with his game.

The reason you say it doesn't, is because you think all he is good at is making contested catches because of his radius, but because you haven't watched enough of his full tape, you don't realize that he's consistently used in the screen and short slant game to get the ball in his hands because he actually is a solid YAC guy because he's surprisingly agile for a player of his size.

No, he's no Tyreek, but he has more than enough wiggle to his game that you combine it with everything he does at an elite level because of his size, and it makes for a guy who is going to be a consistent 1k yard and 10+ TD player.  He can be the true outside #1 that we need, but he's also versatile enough to be moved into the slot at times to scheme the ball into his hands against smaller nickel corners or slower linebackers.

He's a slightly less physical Mike Evans but with more agility, my comp was always AJ Green.  He's going to be an elite #1 WR in this league for the next decade, if he's there and we pass on him to trade down for another WR, we will regret it for a long time.

If the NFL compped him to Green he'd be the first player off the board in this draft

This makes literally zero sense.

The most popular comparison for T-Mac is Mike Evans.

AJ Green is not going to be a HOFer while Evans is already a HOF lock and very well might end up a first ballot guy with a few more good years.

Either way, you're not comparing a player's career trajectory, just their style of play and what they do well, and to me, I've just always seen Green when watching T-Mac

And you've always seen him through Rose coloured glasses
