AJ Green is not going to be a HOFer while Evans is already a HOF lock and very well might end up a first ballot guy with a few more good years.

Either way, you're not comparing a player's career trajectory, just their style of play and what they do well, and to me, I've just always seen Green when watching T-Mac

I was riding with the Mike Evans comp as well up until the combine and T-Mac came in with arms nearly 4" shorter than Evans'

Play style I can see the comp still tho, esp given how both were forced into going for a ton of contested balls in college.

Hes overrated but Sanders is the most overrated in the draft. 
 

Morgan is using it as a smoke screen. I actually think they take Nick Emmanwori after trading down in the 1st

Is that total wingspan?  In my head its like each arm is 4 inches shorter, which seems insane.  Or Evans is god tier on the ape index.

Not true at all, I know his faults and things he has to work on, but I've seen enough of him to know he's still going to be an amazing player in the NFL

But whether I do or not has no bearing on your post making absolutely no sense.  You have no issue with most NFL experts comparing him to Mike Evans, but I compare him to AJ Green, a worse player, and you think it's an absurd comp that would make him the #1 pick in the draft if so.

It is measured from shoulder to fingertip, so not wingspan. Arm length can differ a lot. I know two people who both are, about 5-6 / 5-7 (173cm) and their differences is ~20cm, that's about 8 inches...

Tmacs biggest problem is his lack of physicality.   To be 6'5 220 and play so soft doesn't add up.  Might as well be 5'9 180

And you can say his style of YAC doesn't mesh with this type of game, but that on its face is just nonsense, because if he's good enough to be 5th in a major conference, it clearly meshes well with his game.

The reason you say it doesn't, is because you think all he is good at is making contested catches because of his radius, but because you haven't watched enough of his full tape, you don't realize that he's consistently used in the screen and short slant game to get the ball in his hands because he actually is a solid YAC guy because he's surprisingly agile for a player of his size.  

No, he's no Tyreek, but he has more than enough wiggle to his game that you combine it with everything he does at an elite level because of his size, and it makes for a guy who is going to be a consistent 1k yard and 10+ TD player.  He can be the true outside #1 that we need, but he's also versatile enough to be moved into the slot at times to scheme the ball into his hands against smaller nickel corners or slower linebackers.

He's a slightly less physical Mike Evans but with more agility, my comp was always AJ Green.  He's going to be an elite #1 WR in this league for the next decade, if he's there and we pass on him to trade down for another WR, we will regret it for a long time.

You're wrong, I don't think he's that great at making contested catches.  I think he is ok at making contested catches.

You can lolz and make 5 paragraph posts all you want.  Tmac is soft, gets bullied at the line of scrimmage, forced out of bounds and gives up when a corner is physical.

His play style fits a small quick receiver.  He's better in short and intermediate routes in space, but he lacks the acceleration to be great at it in the NFL and he's not really a deep ball or jump ball guy.   On tape his best assets are small receiver type things.  If we draft him then I will cheer for him and for my opinion to be wrong just like I'm still hoping I was wrong about xl but so far he has proven me right.

Give me Tyler Warren to see what Bryce can do with a guy he can just play some backyard ball with. No other position gives you that flexibility and Warren is not only the best tight end but one of the best receivers in the draft.

Take Warren. Find a receiver you love later on. I'm not sure where Restrepo is going but Warren and Restrepo as the only two offensive picks would make me very, very happy this year. I'd also like Skattebo to add some physicality to the offense but beggers can't be choosers. 

Give me Warren and Restrepo, go defense later where the draft is deep. Walker is a JAG.

Back to the thread topic: Jalon Walker.  I am not a Simms fan, but I get what he is saying.  I am starting to see the signs that he could be dropping.  Mocks having him going in the second round.  Walker is a risky pick--and my view is this:  If he becomes a pure edge as some have said, it seems to me that role would be as a situational pass rusher.  I want to like him-I love his character, but Simms says what I have been thinking and cannot dismiss.  I think he exaggerates unnecessarily, but there is reason for caution.

Quite simply stated, "Jalon Walker is not a top 10 player as an edge."

The roster just seems to be right for the addition of a safety.   Only 1 of the two S positions has been adequately addressed, and I am guessing there is something they want to do with them that might require similar skill sets, which limits who we can sign or draft there.  I think there are 2 in this draft who can do what I think they want--and that is, hybrid, interchangeable safeties who can play center field or in the box.   I am just guessing, but that seems consistent with their attention to certain players.  Sanker, for example, would be solid depth on a team that values specific types at S, showing an ability to play deep and tenacious in run support (and a good special team ace).  There is no indication that I have seen that Carolina is interested in Malaki Starks--a run-support specialist who has issues in coverage. 

It just seems that Evero wants hybrids--hybrid DL, hybrid LBs, Hybrid safeties.  Not sure if they have peaked at Barron, but that would make sense.

I agree with you, the weirdest part though is it seems Evero wants hybrids and tweeners but had no idea what to do with Chinn.

Trying to figure out a S/LB tweener is different than an I/OLB hybrid.  He's already done it with Luvu.
