white stripes announced today that they are breaking up...kinda sucks

Kinda?!?!?!? The White Stripes are the very reason I became a musician! They are the most influential rock band of my generation. The most creative and Jack White is probably the best song writer in the Rock genre. This is far beyond sucky. This is down right depressing. The ONLY positive thing about it is that my Vinyls are gonna be worth a good $250-300 each at the very least. And I have 5 of their albums on vinyl.

As a guitarist: No

As a song writer and musician: Yes

Do your homework buddy, I will admit that Jack is not the greatest guitarist to ever live, though many in the business would say that he is one of the 10 greatest. However, his music is ever so creative. Much more so than 95% of the musicians in the world. Don't knock Jack.

As for the guy who made the wise crack about me not knowing any other bands worth listening to, nice try at a failed attempt bro. Go check my profile. I listed all my music on this site before I did anything else.

Oh the people that think they are so cool making jokes on an online forum :rolleyes:

I have probably been to more live shows in my 21 years of life than you have been to. My dad was roadie for years of his life dude. I have been touring since I was 5. ;)
