What in the world? (Cardinals DC)

His regular season stats are terrible. He made up for it in the playoffs some but apparently Wisenhunt isn't willing to take a chance that his DC will remember what he did last season. Their defense sat down at the end of the Super Bowl. He knows that he won't have the same players and players' memories are very short. So he needs a good DC.

what are the chances of him coming here as a positions coach? or do yall think he would rather take another dc job?

Probably a greater chance he becomes Todd Haley's DC with the Chiefs.

Then again, he was previously with the Browns. That increases his chances of being hired here

Looks for Keith Bell, the LB coach for the Steelers the last six years to get a long look. Coach Whiz want to run a true 3-4 and has experience with him. Clancy was a holdover from the Dennis Green era. Probably a good move in the long run. Not allot of tears being shed in Phoenix today.

Pendergast has been a pretty solid DC scheme-wise, even when the Cards haven't had the greatest defensive personnel.

I don't get it.

Cardinals want to run a 3-4, Pendergast likes to run a 4-3. Cardinals blew allot of leads late in games last season, including the Superbowl. Look at the Cowboys, 49ers, Eagles and Steeler games and you will get the idea.

If they want to switch to 3-4, that I get. And again, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him join Haley over in KC.

If you want to talk defensive letdowns though, trust me. We can trump you there

He would be a good fit at the open linebacking coach position but coming off the super bowl as a defensive coordinator I doubt he was going to take a demotion if he can be a coordinator elsewhere. However, if he doesn't think he can get on as a DC anywhere and seeing how most teams already have their OC and DC and assistant coaches set he could end up in Carolina. But I would agree that him going to KC with Haley is probably the most likely.
