i had one from college. he visited me once for a weekend at my current home. i stopped answering the phone when he called after that. a bitch thing to do I know, but oh well. I just couldn't take him anymore.

Accept them for who they are (including their faults), or place boundaries or get rid of them. It's not our job to fix people, or berate them. I just had to do some of this myself, mainly with family. I cant get rid of family but I can love them for their good qualities and put boundaries in place for all the bad qualities, and keep my nose out of their buisness. They don't care nor want to hear about how they fug up and/or how they can make their lives better. Not wasting my breath and keeping my nose out of it has made all our lives easier.

Most people are annoying. Like I tell my wife, smile and pretend you like people because you never know if they may be able to help you out later in life. She says that's maniuplative, I say it's life.
