Panthers get Fred Graves (Titans) as WR coach

Interesting...is his contract up?

No, but neither was Graves.

All of the Titans assistants were on one year deals because next year would have been Fisher's "lame duck" year just like this past season was for John Fox.

Titan ownership had previously indicated that they were agreeable to allowing assistants - even respected ones like Jim Washburn - the ability to seek better situations elsewhere.

That said, they have now indicated they went to retain as many of Fisher's assistants as possible. But then again, right after saying that, they let Graves go to us.

McGinnis is going to get a head coaching interview there, but it's expected that Munchak will get the job. Will McGinnis want to stay if he doesn't gett he job? Unknown.

To say the situation is 'up in the air" would be an understatement.

great.... the same team that acquired randy moss and didn't even use him??? cant wait to see how this works out for us

The team that originally got rid of Moss outright made it to the playoffs.

Moss spent his post-Patriots time sulking and making an ass of himself. It got him kicked out of Minnesota and by the time he got to Tennessee, he was just a great big pile of pout.

I don't know that I'd judge anybody on their ability to work with Randy Moss.

Yeah, if this guy has any say VY won't be in Carolina.

As far as Young's locker room antics go, we only know about what made it to the media. Graves would have been in a position to know way more than that.

Given that all but four or five of Young's teammates wanted him gone too, I'd say it's highly unlikely Graves would lobby for Young here. Probably just the opposite.

He may say the "PC" thing in public like Craig Johnson did (before the Vikings quietly let the Minneapolis Star-Tribune know they weren't interested) but that's about it.
